Before You Upload

A Clean, Pure Black Background.

The background around your design becomes the base of your relief. A plain, pure black background gives a clean, flat base — anything else is carved as extra material.

Important: the background must be clean and pure black (#000000).

Walls, panels, wooden plates, cloth, shadows, gradients or textures around the design are carved into your relief as unwanted material. Fix the background first — it takes about a minute.

Do
  • Use a clean, pure black background (#000000) all around the design.
  • Show the whole design from the front, sharp and evenly lit.
  • Keep the design large in the frame, with a little black space around it.
  • Use a sharp, clear photo: 1,500 pixels or more on the long side.
Do Not
  • Do not upload a design on a wall, panel, wooden plate, cloth or any textured or coloured background.
  • Do not leave shadows, gradients, reflections, glow or light spots in the background.
  • Do not crop off parts of the design, and do not use blurry, dark or angled photos.
  • Do not add text, logos or watermarks.

Your photo is used only to make your relief. On CNC Trial & Starter, the photo and relief are deleted when you log out, at the latest within 6 hours. CNC Pro & Premium keep a private history for 7 days, and you can delete any relief anytime. Details: Privacy Policy.

Can I make many reliefs at once?

Yes — with CNC Premium. Choose up to 50 pictures (or a folder) with Bulk upload in the studio. Each picture becomes a relief with the same settings, charged the normal Points when it is made. They are saved together in your History: open them like a gallery, go through them in the 3D editor, or download all of them in STL, OBJ, ArtCAM / Carveco or Aspire 3D Clip with one click.

Which CAM software can open the exported files?

We export native .RLF relief files that open directly in ArtCAM and Carveco, and native Vectric Aspire 3D Clips (.3dClip) that you drag into Aspire's Clipart tab — both with the exact millimetre size and Z height. For any other CAM software, use the watertight 3D .STL mesh or the .OBJ 3D model (both keep the fine detail).

Why does a smooth relief matter so much for CNC carving?

A rough relief shows up as visible "terracing" or jagged stair-steps when a CNC router cuts deep into wood or stone, and needs hours of hand sanding. Our reliefs are made smooth, so carving curves come out clean.

Can I adjust relief height and base thickness before downloading?

Yes! Clicking any export card opens our built-in Interactive 3D Inspector. You can freely manipulate overall carving width and height in millimeters, maximum Z height, Base Height (add a solid base, or use a minus value to cut away the bottom layer), gamma curve, and invert orientation in real time before generating your final file.

How does the one-time code login protect my balance?

We enforce a strict 1 Person = 1 Account security architecture. You log in with a 6-digit code sent to your verified WhatsApp number (India) or to your email address (all countries), so your purchased Points and your carving history cannot be shared or stolen. Payment receipts are sent to your email from info@cncrelief.com.
